Hi all,
I have an HP DV6-1268NR and about a week ago I was using it and it just froze. I turned it off and turned it back on. It lit up like it was about to turn on, but the screen did not turn on and the Caps Lock light along with the Num Lock light blink consistently 4 seconds apart. I researched what the problem may be and it said, the error code for a single blinking light (i'm assuming the error code is 1 blinking light, because I've left it on for hours and it blinks 1 single time every 4 seconds until the power is cut). For one blinking light is a cpu error, so I bought a new cpu online, carefully replaced it successfully (took me 2.5 hours), then I turned it on. Same exact thing. Blinking light every 4 seconds. I'm about to buy a new laptop and sell this one for parts on ebay. Which would suck because I am a college student and don't have ANY money. Does anyone know if there is a fix?
Thanks
