It still works, but it makes a lot of noise when you start the pc or when you run a program. My question was if you know what is reference number or parte number of the CPU Cooling fan for HP Pavilion dv6799ep. I intend to buy a new CPU Cooling fan but I lack the correct name or number of the part. thanks.
download the manual from this link. http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01295877.pdf look under "illustrated parts catalog" & find "computer major components", that is on page 18. look for #8 on left side the go to page 21 & look at the part numbers for part 8 that matches yours. could possibly get the part new off ebay for a lot less then from hp as that is what i do.
Thank you for your help. My intention is to buy a CPU Cooling fan on ebay. My problem was that the suppliers do not give me a guarantee that certain "CPU Cooling fan" worked with Hp 6799ep
One more thing to have a hp 4400c scanner works fine. but the bulb blew. I needed to find the manual hp 4400c scanner. I find some manuals but no date information on the scanner parts. Thank you.
