installing second internal hard drive

    im trying to install a second internal sata hd on an hp m1264n media pc. both of the hd's have windows xp on them. i knew i would have to do something to make it work but when both connected my pc wont even boot up.the hd label says something about jumpers i know nothing about those,i read up on the net alot of sites say sata drives wont need a jumper but mine does not work. i cant designate a slave or master hd cause like i said it wont boot, a little help please

    You need to go into the bios by pressing the "delete" key when the computer starts to bootup. When you are in the bios, you need to choose which sata port to boot from first.
    Usually in the first bios screen it will show you which sata port has which hard drive.

    in the bios by pressing f1, f2 or del, goto the boot sequence & select hard drives. in there select the drive you want to boot 1st & press enter(i think). press esc key then press f10 to save & reboot.
