Ok so recently i have been having this problem. When i started windows a few days ago it said could not detect hard drive so i tried restarting it then it loaded windows from the other hard drive i have and couldnt detect my main one.Still didnt recognize my main hard drive so i decided to switch them around. Sometimes my hard drive gets recognized other times it wont. It is also very loud i defraged it as well. Is this a sign its going to crap out soon?

Sounds like a problem in the small circuit board on the bottom of the drive.

It is almost starting to sound like a chipset issue; if all drives have problems on all ports, then all your drives might be just fine.
