Ok. So today I was getting a nocd crack for my Mechwarrior 4 game because the CD is ancient and is actually falling apart. I was going to retire it and put it on my shelf for sentimental value. I downloaded the nocd crack and I got a nasty little bug that messed up my pc so I did a system restore and now my keyboard just will not work.
It runs when the pc first turns on so I can go into the boot menu, run around in that and it works in safemode just fine. But when I try to use the pc normally it ceases to function at the login screen.. This is driving me insane. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no sucess. I tried a different keyboard (non usb) and that didn't work either. Can anyone help?

Checked the BIOS for anything unusual there and everything seems to be fine. No working keyboard yet however...
Ran a boot scan disk check and still nothing.. Going to try repairing through windows XP cd, I would hate to loose all this homework to a damn fake nocd crack..

Fixed it! Though after reading a tutorial I avoided making a FATAL mistake. Anyone who has this issue can find the solution here.
