Hi,
I want to know how to use 1 monitor, 1 keyboard and 1 mouse for an iMac and a desktop PC.
what i am trying to do is run the iMac using my 26" samsung monitor with my mouse and keyboard, and be able to switch between my pc and my iMac using the same monitor, mouse and keyboard.
I did some research online and I found out that there is products called KVM switcher, but most of them comes with VGA or DVI whitch is not what I need, because the iMac doesn't have a vga or DVI,
than I found out that Iogear has some products like the "Iogear GCS661U" whitch doesn't require VGA or DVI, just usb 2, but this one just works on windows, DAMN!
Anybody has an idea or know a product available that can do the job?
connect iMac to PC and work using the PC monitor and keyboard and mouse.
Thanks

Interesting problem. The USB ports can handle the keyboard and mouse. What connect type does your iMAC use for video? That's the key to finding the right KVM.

Buy a video converter cable for your iMAC to make it PC compatiable. Make the computer connections match the router inputs. Found the solution in the Apple store. lol
