I recently changed my worn out battery for my laptop, HP Pavilion dv 6000, but Im not able to use my touch pad cursor or external USB mouse while the power is on battery mode.

Yes it is some problem with the battery, but I had it replaced twice now.But how is the USB mouse connected to the battery anyhow,it doesnt receive power directly.How can i solve this problem.
