    Dear All,

The problem is with my battery. I recently set up wireless and therefore switching to battery power. After charging the battery it seems that it will drain and shut down within half an hour. I therefore purchased another battery I have fully charged it but its doing the same. After 20 mins the new battery is down from 100% (15:54hrs remaining) to 73% (16:33hrs remaining) the time left jumps up and down frequently. I have tried both batteries in other laptops and they are actually both fine could anyone indicate what could be causing this issue I imagine that it may be a hardware issue or the battery settings may need changed in MS-DOS, can anyone help?

    Thanks,

    Kev.

have you tried updating your bios? Who makes the laptop? Some manufacturers also have a control suite or something along those lines that helps regulate the battery usage.
