laptop gets very hot

    hi i have a fujitsu-seimens laptop for the past couple of months whenever i charge my laptop it gets very hot where the charger plugs into the laptop and when i remove the charge the input plug is red hot any ideas what the problem is and if it can be repaired. thanks very much.

    check with store that you bought it from as should not be hot at all maybe battery but not connector.

    [quActually, It may be that your laptop may be over heating because it's on paper, or something that would suffocate it. Tiger Direct has this new thing that acts like a suit ccase, but is made of wire mesh in a way, and lets air through. I have the exact same with my cell phone. How often do you recharge you Computer?

    He said the power connector is glowing hot...that is not due to sitting on paper. The problem is either the charger or the laptop. You can test the charger for too much voltage output by using a multimeter. This is a good idea in case they try to lie to you when you bring it to them.
