hi, i have a dell inspiron 1525 hard drive, it is SATA. I just have the hard drive, no laptop. I am wanting to take off the files on that hard drive, i don't have access to another 1525. I have tried plugging the hard drive into other laptops but it has not worked. Does anyone know how i could retrieve those files on that hard drive, i've heard of some cable u plug into somewhere in the hard-drive and the other end of the cable has a usb. Anyone know of this? Any help would be appreciated very much.
    thankyou.

are you certain the drive is still good? can get a 2.5" sata drive enclosure that connect to your usb(s), they are about $20Can.

If it is SATA, you can plug it into a PC just the same as a desktop SATA drive; same plugs.
