Hey, having an issue with my laptop wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction.

Samsung R60Plus Laptop, Windows Vista Home Premium - Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 1.66Ghz, 2 meg ram.

Have had it around 3 years and its never given me any hassel. Last week or so it has been locking up intermittantly, freezes when i am downloading, running apps, or just when i leave it there. Screen freezes, mouse locked up and i am forced to shut it down and reboot. It does that with no issues all the time.

ALSO - i am unable to Hibernate it anymore. It just sits there black screen trying to Hibernate it seems but again needs to be powered off after it is unsuccessful.

Having read a few other forums etc, i was asked to try a few things which i have done :
    - Reformat it, reload windows and see if that works (Since i had a crazy amount of software over the years it was long overdue anyway, i reloaded Vista and never even bothered to RESTORE anything as i had all my data on external hd).
    - Install latest version of BIOS on it, checking it was set to defaults.
    - Check that the fans are working on it, it cools fine from what i can see. Responds to multiple apps open with extra cooling.
    - Remove and reinstall the 2*ram sticks on the back of the laptop.

All done ... but none successful.

I'd appreciate any insight on this. Becoming a nightmare to use this. Even now i am worried it'll lock up in middle of posting ;)

    Thanks in advance!

check in the bios to see what the cpu temp is at after you are forced to do a restart.
