ok, so I own a toshiba satt. p305-s8825. all was good until 2 nights ago, I was waching a movie through my laptop connected to my tv. out of nowhere the laptop turns off. So, I turned it back on and it gives me "resumming windows" windows comes back and my battery metter shows 4% so I thought maybe I had the power supply cable not conected properly. well now I get no power to my laptop I tested the calbe I get 19v from the cable so thats working. I opend the laptop and ran a voltage scann and there is current going through all the power wireing to the motherboard! so here is where im stuck. don't know where to go from here. thanks!

Bad battery or bad battery charging circuit would be my guess if it works OK on AC.

Thanks dailun. it wasn't the battery or the power supply cable. it was internal. one of the calbes that run to the motherboard conector was out, when i 1st checked i didn't bother to pull a little on it. this time I was a little more desperate! lol i couldn't see why it wasn't working... i started to softly pull on them one by one and the 1 of the 4 was not conected! it had snapped off. How? I don't know but Im glad i found the problem. K then, I just thougth I let you know lol....
