Not sure if im in the right place for this but here it goes any way.
i have a laptop that failed to boot so i connected the hdd to another laptop to format the drive in readiness to load a new os onto it.
when i put it back into the original the laptop came back with NTLDR is missing. but that does not seem to be the only problem i have no keyboard at all so even when i put in my bootable xp disc i cannot start it i have no access to the bios.

has anyone got any idea how i can get round this problem as it is quite a good laptop and i dont just want to lose it

How/why did it fail to boot?

Also, what is the make and model of the laptop and which OS?

WOW! It sounds like you are between a rock and a hard place.

There may be ways around these problems, but they exceed my capabilities. Hopefully someone smarter then me will come along with some idea.

Good luck (and Happy New Year)
