    Hey AD!

So, I have an Acer Aspire 6530, and it's only a few months old. For whatever reason (and this only started happening recently), when i turn the power on, it'll just sit there for about 5-7 seconds, with nothing on the screen, and then it'll just lose power and reboot again....and again.....and again....and then finally, after sitting for 10 seconds or so, the logo for the computer will finally show, and everything works just fine after that.

It does say "reseting the boot drive" or something like that after it gets past the logo...however, i wasn't sure if that was just windows 7, because i can't imagine that being the reason for my computer not being able to start.

    Any ideas AD?

Are you able to get into the BIOS Setup Screen?

    Hey,
the 6530 have had major problems since been manufactured. Last 2 brought for us to fix were overheating and problematic hard drives,

    is the computer blue screening?

Did windows 7 come preinstalled or over written as a new operating system?

    Regards
