I have an Asus Ve205 monitor that started doing the 2 sec blackout thing, which is where you turn it on and it lights up for 2 to 3 sec and then go es black. From what I have read if you shine a flashlight on it and still see your desktop then it is most likely your inverter board. So I bought a new inverter board and replaced it and it still does the same thing. So my question is what else could it be. I have already returned the board so Im looking for what else it might be. Ive tried another monitor and it works fine, so its not the actual PC. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

2 that I see. I replaced the one where the power cord plugs into and the other is where the VGA cord goes. Do you think I replaced the wrong one?

it is the video controller that is causing the problem as had same problem with my 19" samsung lcd monitor. got a controller off another 19" samsung out of the local electronics recycle bin. the controller worked on my samsung but had to modify the back of the case for the dvi port that wasn't there before & across the bottom of the bezel for the buttons different from mine.
