I'm having issues connecting to my router. I have Comcast Xfinity High speed internet ARRIS modem. I just noticed that on the modem, the link light blinks green when I plugged the ethernet cable to the modem and computer. The linksys advisor tells me that it can't see the router. I tried to 30/30/30 method without success. I have the latest firmware. Thanks.

I'm not absolutely clear on what you have already done, so forgive me if I recommend something you have already tried.

Your computer can't find the router. I'm assuming this is a cable connections. What I want to you do is forget about the internet connection for a minute, make sure the WAN port cable is unplugged. Just connect an ethernet cable from a LAN port on the back of the router to the ethernet port on your computer and power up the router. If Linksys adviser still can't find the router, I would also try to connect to the router using the internet browser method. See what happens and build from there.

thanks for the reply. I tried what I could think of. I got frustrated and went out to get a e1000. The computer sees the router and the cable modem. All is working again.

    Routers don't last forever.
