Hi guys, Im pretty good with computer software and viruses and stuff, but this issue has got me stumped, when i turn my computer on, it loads a screen and i need to select the operating system, so i select windows XP, and then it comes up with a set up menu (you know if press F8 I think it is you can select to start your computer in safe mode), it brings up that screen, you can select, start in safe mode, safemode with networking, or start automatically without safe mode, but here is the problem... no matter which option you select, or if you wait for the computer to select its own option, it always loads back to the safe mode menu.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I understand i can reset it... but there is alot of things on it that I dont want to lose unless its a do or die option. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks

If you have an xp disc you can load it up and do a repair installation. That will replace major system files and should get the computer working again.
