Hi, someone please help me, i recently bought a new 20+ inch monitor and was looking forward to watching some movies on it via the internet but i can't get thje sound to work. The monitor came with a wire (standard) Which you have to connect to the back of the PC tower but everytime i try and put it in the back of the tower slot (Green one) it doesn't go in.. it goes in the rest of them (Blue/Pink) but doesn't go in the green one, i think they maybe something stuck inside of it.. Anyone know what to do? i've tried taking it out but i haven't got anything small enough to poke inside of it, any other way i can access sound from the computer? Maybe putting it in the other slots? (Pink/Blue)

P.S. There's only one green port which is at the back of the computer, none at the front.

    Thanks in advance.

have you tried a long pin, needle, safety pin or darning needle? is the soundcard part of the motherboard or fits in a slot?

it is a card then. 2 options possibly 3 is to replace the card, try the black connector as on mine it is also output & 3rd is replace the green connector as something might not be stuck in it but 1 of the metal pieces is bent out of shape inside(manufacturing defect).
