network adapter trouble

    my wireless network adapter is not working i went through microsoft updated the driver and even through hp as well to update the driver and it still is not found on my network devices whats wrong its turned on but the light is orange its supposed to be blue what else should i do i never did anything to disable it

    1. Is your device correctly installed? (Are there any yellow question marks in Device Manger)

    If yes, go to 2. If No, correctly install your driver until the yellow question mark goes away.

    2. If you open the Network utility, can you see any networks available?

    yes the driver is correctly installed the device manager shows its functioning properly idk there aint no yellow question mark it worked last week and all the sudden one day it stopped working i have no idea why i went into network devices and it didnt display my adapter at all when i search for device it dont find anything i been having multiple problems with this computer since i got it my hard drive has failed 4 times its a none stop problem but what else could do that it shows my router in my network devices cuz im plugged in but it dont show the wireless adapter like it used to

    If it's setup like my HP's WLAN card, then the slider switch moves a much smaller switch inside, and it barely touches this switch. Your outer switch might have simply slipped off of the inner switch (my laptop is second hand, and it came like this).
