New build usb devices always have power?

    I just built a new pc and when I power it down anything I have conected to the rear usb stays on after a system shutdown . My keyboard and speakrs stay li up I have a p55a UD3 mobo is there something I pluged in wrong ?

    nothing wrong as just your motherboard &/or psu is doing that. i've seen both name brand & clone computers do that including my clone. what i do is after windows shuts down the pc with power still to monitor & speakers, i turn off the powerbar that cuts off the power to all of them. also as protection just in case of lightning storm even when computer is off.

    Just a shot in the dark...have you turned off the Wake on Mouse and Wake on Keyboard features?
