i have a toshiba satalite L 305 laptop. The screen broke when it was dropped, only about a foot and a half from the ground. everything else works great. I purchased a new lcd screen but when i installed it its VERY dark, u can bareley even see it, unless you are about 1 inch from the screen. i plug the old one back in and it works ( all white and liquid scattered ) there is no setting in the bios ,, i have it output to a monitor right now... wondering if anyone has any solutions.. the company is sending out another screen for me.. but if it does the same thing,, wondering if anyone has a thought on this? the small inverter board is not cracked or anything.. both plugs are in tight. also on the back of the screen at the top, the video plug, is in tight also. Thanks guys
Sounds like a bad backlight. If the old cracked screen has good backlighting, then the problem is probably with the new screen itself.
