no audio on built pc?

    hi....i have a amd semphron non branded pc which i got built for me around a year ago...everything worked just fine...rcently iv had to re-install windows xp,but i have a problem...i no longer have any audio drivers,so i cannot listen to music or video soundtrack/audio...iv gone into device manager,but no devices found....how can i findd out without opening my pc up,what sound card i have and is there a universal sound driver that can be used that will automatically scan my system and tell me what drivers for audio i require?
    help much appreciated..

    You need make and model# of your motherboard. Download Belarc advisor, run it, and write down the main board information. Use Google to find drivers for the main board. Download, install.

    don't you have the motherboard disk as it would have come with the motherboard? look on the motherboard & look for white writing(not on the chips) that says asrock k7m5a or something like that.
