    I have video card XFX HD5770 1GB 577X-ZNFC

When I play the video through hdmi I get no sound. I thought this card would support that. Am I wrong?

It should support it, but first you have to select it as your audio output device from the "Sound" icon in the control panel.

I got it to work. I have one other question. The computer is in my office and I have that monitor hooked up with a dvi cord I think. Now I'm going to get a 50' HDMI cord to run to my hdtv in my bedrooom to watch movies on. Can I have sound going through both or do I have to switch back and forth?
