Ok so my computer just shut down and I have no clue why. I got a q6600 b3 oc from 2.4ghz to 3.0ghz I have a aftermarket cpu cooler but its not a very good. My distance to TJ max is around 25 underload, idle is about 45-50. Are my temps fine or is it time to upgrade to a better cpu cooler??

Also my cpu has been overclocked for about 3 months now or so and this is the first time I had any problems with my pc. I was downloading some files converting some files and surfing the web as it shut down with a error and the msg said somthing went wrong and my pc shut down to prevert any further damages.

if your going from 2.4 to 3.0 i would suppose you've upped the voltage on all cores, correct?

I dont know someone gave me cookie cutting settings and it worked for me. Like i said Ive had my cpu oc for 3 months now no problems until today. But I just changed my psu out with a new one and so far it seems to be working.

Some Quad\Duel Core cpu's have been known to have issue with shifting between cores when overclocked if its your first crash in 3 months then your doing something right.
