old toshiba part.

    I am trying to source a Laptop HDD for a Toshiba PS 141E-18G1V-EN.

    The HDD part is Toshiba 242702000.
    Toshiba 03045F.

    The laptop is 6 years old and was purchased from new.The drive is corrupt and will not reformat because of bad sectors.

    I have tried all over the net,but ran out of solutions as it seems too old.

    Help appreciated,if anyone knows of anywhere that would do compatible parts.

    If you kept the HDD caddy from the old one, then any HDD with a supported (by the laptop) capacity will do.

    If you don't have the caddy, you're SOL unless you can find another broken laptop.

    If you mean the steel cover around the old one i still have this ,it was just the pins i was worried about,making sure a new one would fit in the old slots etc.The slot in the laptop has a 43 pin socket???
    When you mean any HDD ,any toshiba???
