onboard graphics not responding on p4

    i am busy fixing a p4 with 256mb ram ddr 400,the screen went on but by the start up screen it was different colours and froze there i restarted but now there is nothing i put in a graphics card 64mb juat to check if it was my monitor but still the same nothing no picture not even the option to enter bios - please anyone who had this problem please help

    try clearing the cmos as have found that to work sometimes to kickstart a stubborn system.

    thanks did that will put battery in tomorrow to check.now what could be the problem why did this happen?
