got an old omnibook xe3 and i wiped it with DBAN and now when i put in a xp disk it doesnt recognize it help (already tried changing the boot order i wish it was the simple) thanks
more than likely the xp bootcd doesn't have the necessary drivers for your laptop. You can always slipstream them and make a new xp cd. http://techtricks.co.in/windows/win...integrating-sata-drivers-into-bootable-xp-cd. Just to rule out a hardware problem, you can try booting up your computer with a linux livecd.
i actually feel really stupid i forgot that because this thing is so old it only works with CD and i have my xp on DVD solid job on my part haha
