    Hey.

    i'm looking for some advice! :)

    i purchased Some music software last week, since i installed the software i haven't been able to use it because after 1-2mins of using the software my PC will shut off suddenly and then reboot it's self, although sometimes it won't fully start up and it may get stuck on the POST screen after the 'beep' where it won't find anything where it usually detects all hardware, i then have to reset or turn it off manually.

    when it shuts off it doesn't give any blue screens or crash dump details.

    i do get the event ID '41' in my event logs saying:

    'The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.'

    when using a sound sample with the VST software, my memory usage is very small, its crashing without any major labor on the components such as memory or CPU, it just the basics and it will cause the PC to turn off with any sample used after a minute or less.

    i have a 650watt corsair power supply that is only 2 months old, i have ran other vst software which can be very demanding in comparison to what i am loading up here, and I've never had this problem before, so I'm confused, can you suggest any way of testing the most common components that may require the most resources used to run fairly intensive software

    my PC specs are:

    * Windows 7 home premium 64bit
    * Cubase 5.5.2 64bit
    * 4gb Crucial RAM ddr2 800mhz (ungaged mode) 2x2gb sticks
    * Nvidia Geforce 460 GTX
    * AMD Phenom 9750 Quad Core
    * 2x western digital 500gb blues (OS on one, the other holds other VST's)
    * 1x western digital 1TB blue that CCC is installed on

    i not 100% where to turn for advice with this i have already posted on the manufacturers tech support forum but not had any luck yet, and this place has always been amazing for general PC support

    Thank you for any help on this!

    Do you have a Restore Point you can use to get back to before it was installed.
