Windows XP sp3. Emachines t5082, 2 gigs, 320g hd. Pretty much the normal steps involved in turning off the pc, but always have to do it trice before it will actually will turn off correctly. Happened after a new install on another harddrive, did have a harddrive that had vista on the pc but got tired of Vista's performance.

    Any advice to fix this?

You'll have to explain things a bit better. You turn the PC off and then it turns itself back on again, or what?

No, you go through the normal process of turn off the pc; Start, Turn off Computer, Turn off Pc. The only thing it does is turn the cursor back to the regular one (using CursorFX). Then nothing after that. Do the process again and it will turn off the way it should.

    Maybe CursorFX is the problem?
