Portable Hard Drive choices?

AfterDawn.com has been updated! In addition to renewing the layout of the site we have also speeded up things considerably. The new version has been tested on our Finnish site for several months, and during the testing we have managed to improve the new version even further.

Looking to get a Portable External Hard Drive, 500GB-1TB. As of right now, which brand is the fastest (read/write speeds) for around $150?

Will be using it for data backups, and for playing Full HD movies with the WD TV Live HD Media player.

I recommend a internal w/ enclosure case of some sorts i have never had any luck with external drives ther all slow and lots of head aches i went with the Western Digital Scorpio Blue WD7500KEVT 750GB 5200 RPM 8MB Cache 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Notebook Hard Drive -Bare Drive and AZiO ENC211S31 Aluminum Case Body 2.5" Black USB 2.0 External Enclosure - Retail combo and i have dropped it several times and still works 100%.
