My issue is that lately my sound comes and goes as it pleases. Sometimes it works fine until I turn off the tv I have it plugged in to, then some other times it'll work for a few hours and it'll go. I have to restart my pc for it to work again. It was working fine until it did an automatic update. I have removed the drivers and had them automatically installed after a restart, Ive checked the connections but I cant find anything else. Any help would be appreciated.

2 choices then if a desktop not a laptop.
1: use a spare hard drive to load windows & board drivers to see if sound work correctly.
2: get a pci soundcard & disable the onboard sound in the bios.
