I have a Sound Blaster XiFi extreme soundcard with a digital optical output. I want to know if it is possible to convert that to a stereo output in order to connect it to my stereo receiver (I already have the line output of the soundcard going to my computer speakers).

digital optical means using a fiber optic cable. how many connectors does that card have & how many are you using? how many speakers is there for the computer?

When I say optical, I am referring to the Toslink connector. The soundcard has a single digital optical output and six analog outputs since it is a multichannel card. I only use two of the analog outputs for my left and right channels since I only have two computer speakers. I also have a stereo receiver that I want to connect to. That's why I want to convert the digital output to analog, since I need two sets of stereo analog outputs.
