I have a nvidia evga 285 gtx and it gets a little too hot and hangs up and im looking at getting an aftermarket cooler, but i dont know what to get. Ive been looking at Arctic Cooling Accelero Extreme 280 and it is supposed to fit on the 285 but i just wanna make sure. Does anybody have any recommendations?

Are you sure it's a heat problem? Force the fan speed to 100% for a period and see how it runs, it'll be noisy but it should cure your stability problems if overheating is the issue.
If it is, something like a Thermalright T-Rad2 GTX edition should do the job, but check if your card uses the reference design before buying, and remember to buy fans for it!
