Howdy, friend has an old hard drive media player like this one. the thin remote is knackered - completely dead. what option are there to replace it ?? outside of emailing the company - are other off-the-shelf/argos remotes any good for these units ? are these small media remotes a certain frequency ?? can a usb remote work - like used for media pc's ? nothing coming up on ebay. thx k
well there are learning remotes that you program by pointing the original remote at the learning remote and it "learns" that way, but if your original remote is dead i don't think you have many options other than contacting the manufacturer and seeing if they sell it as a separate item.
why not just do a google search on the remotes part number, and find one and buy it? im sure you will be able to find a place that sells remotes.
thanks folks, just found some-one at work with the same type media drive and remote. Also found the company who supply them but for €30. Would prefer to get a more sturdy learner remote for €30 than the small flimsy ones that broke. so- any recommendations on a leaner remote ? about the €30 mark. thanks for the help k
