My PSU makes this low high pitch ring when it is off that keeps me awake at night. I just had 2 replacement PSUs sent to me from Dell and both had the same sound. Now they are sending me a brand new computer, but I think it will still have the sound. I read about some older Dell computers having issues with non-Dell PSUs. This is a fairly new PC but I still want to double check if this is compatible with other PSUs. Does anyone know if other PSUs will work? Since I have sensitive ears, I think I will get this PSU below.

    Thanks

ues a powerbar to turn off the power totally after windows shuts down. some name brand & some clone computers still has pwer going thru even after windows shuts down system. how to tell sometimes is to see if the laser light on a wired optical mouse is still on after shutdown. i turn my system off completely using a powerbar after windows shuts down the computer.

I was thinking about doing that, but I still want to know if others PSUs are compatible. Just in case I do not feel like doing that. I am very lazy sometimes. Thanks for your reply.
