I am making a SATA power cable with a male Molex end. My problem is that 2 of the 4 wires are not the usual colors (yellow black red black)this on has black grey orange and red. Can someone tell me what the grey and orange are?
    Thanks
    Howie

ground(black). on the white molex connector with the flatside down(because the end looks like a "D"), you would have yellow(12v) black(gnd) black(gnd) red(5v). with the black female sata power connector with copper pins side showing, you have yellow black red black.

and what does the orange wire since grey is ground ,black is ground red is 5v does that make the last wire which is orange 12v,i need to make sure because i have 1Tb of old time radio shows, and i don't want to fry my drive so I just need somebody to tell me what it is i know its a dumb question because of the process of elimination the orange wire should be 12v just need an OK to go through this little project

connect the male connector to your psu drive connectors. if your psu drive connectors are using standard colors then they will tell you what your molex power connector colors will be. i've already told you & even JST1946 linked you to the pinouts but you are not comprehending what we told you.
