    Hi Guys,

Have 2 Laptops in the house, one mine and other is my wife's, both alot of data, pics, forms etc. I have an externall hard drive that I hook up to the computers from time to time, transfer files (free up space) and back in the closet it goes.

I would love to set the external hard drive up as a server/additional drive that both my wife and I can share.

I recently bought a wireless printer and was wondering if I can attach the External hard drive thru the Printer via USB and create an additional drive for both computers..

Would love to see if anyone has tried this methodology? I would hate to try it and accidently wipe out data I have on the ext hard drive...

If the printer and the laptops connect to a wireless router, then the printer should theoretically share the device over a network as if it would be sharing another USB drive (e.g. camera). One would then just connect to the printer as always, and there should be some button to access the drive.
