Toshiba laptop screen is on but no back light

my problem is i opened this laptop and soldered the earphone port on correctly and put everything back the way it should be and now i put the laptop on and the picture you can see faintly but there is no back light on and i opened it again and closed up checked everything again and again but still the same can anyone please help me.
