Found this in the trash the other day and it doesn't have any problems with it. Guess the owner just upgraded. I'd like to use it as a back up pc or something to that effect

I was wondering what processor this can support up to? It has a Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2ghz. I've seen others online at 2.33ghz but non higher. Is there some sort of hardware limitation on the mobo? And how much RAM can it support also? I assume 4gb but I want to make sure. I believe it's DDR2 ram.

    Thanks! info helped a lot.
And i found out why it was tossed. Seems that it will randomly turn itself on and immediately off. Must be some hardware damage somewhere?

check power management or similar in the bios & have the power set for off incase of power failure. also disable using dialup modem to turn system off. check for similar for lan. can also just reset cmos but check what it does.

I checked all those options and they were already off. So not really sure what to do. May just keep it in sleep mode when I'm not using it if anything.
