This is what my speeds are looking like, they seem oddly low. I have Verison DSL, I dont know if this is average for that connection. But just wondering if there is anyway to speed up my internet

what speeds are you ment to get?, what speed are you paying for?
if your speeds are lower than what you are supposed to have, get on to provider and ask them to boost signal
also is that test done by wireless to comp or cable?

It's what I'd expect to see out of "low end" or "economy" DSL. What you are getting is typically the lowest ADSL tier. The only setting I know of that's slower is 768k down and 128k up.

    here is a good 1, I was on a speed of 2mb down & 2mb up ratio 24-1 or 36-1 (not positive)
my son was online for feck knows how long of the day with 'PS3' 'X.box 360' hosted games, ect ect
never once did he get lagging, bad connection or anything like
now we changed to a different company 30mb down, 3mb up, 36-1 ratio and its prob the worst change ive done in broadband
now the reason i said this dont be fooled by all these big companys offering 50+ speeds, cos they all just want your money and dont care once they have it
