all usb 2 ports transfer rate of 480 Mb/s compared to usb 1 which transfer at 12 Mb/s. if you want faster then get a pci card with usb 3 ports which transfers at 5gb/s.

that is probably a lot to ask for a usb thumbdrive. consider reading some reviews on hi-speed sdhc cards (made for photography and such) and you could use an adapter.

check this link for what i had in mind.

some guy said he recorded these speeds (i cant prove it):
    18.2Mbps read
    16.5Mbps write
    5.0Mbps write/read
    4.9Mbps write/read/verify

maybe you would like this, though. thats looks OK.
