Sounds like a resource issue check specs required to run it,you could try a different brand tuner software if the tuner uses the same type of chip,i use the pixel pro 2 software on a hybrid card it works a treat,however my issue is different,the hybrid card software has issues getting our tv stations

Most tuner cards come with terrible software that has massive known problems like this. If the card won't record with the software it came with, and it won't record/work with free media center software, then just return it to the store, and DO NOT replace it with the same model.
