It was then i realized after the game failed to initialize { maplestory } that in my computer management my Video controller and Video Controller vga where yellow question marked. Im not really computer smart so im kidna lost. I know its a driver problem. I took some screen shots with CPU ID CPU-Z ill host them below any advice would be helpful. http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn83/anbushinobimoto/CPUMANA.jpg http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn83/anbushinobimoto/cpusss.jpg http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn83/anbushinobimoto/spdss.jpg http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn83/anbushinobimoto/memoryss.jpg http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn83/anbushinobimoto/cachesss.jpg http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn83/anbushinobimoto/mainboardss.jpg http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn83/anbushinobimoto/graphicsss.jpg
motherboard is a asus p4sd-la i believe the video is actually a video card because after opening the case it looks like there is one in the pci slot. .
http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn83/anbushinobimoto/mother-p450.jpg image i found of the board similar to one i got.
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&docname=c00022505 i believe is the exact specs of it and the exact model
is the card in white slot or brown slot? your monitor is connected to that card or to onboard video? what does it say on the front of the case as in pavillion 2430 or something like that?
card is in the blackish/brown one and my monitor is conencted to the card in that slot. As for the pavillion honestly no clue cuz i cant find that anywhere i do see however it saying HP Media Center m000 http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn83/anbushinobimoto/GEDC0347.jpg far left pci slot is my wifi pci card. one to right is sound card. then open slot then the graphics card in the dark colored slot.
undo the screw that is holding the card in place & pull the card out so that you can clean the dust bunnies off it & see what the model & make of the card. which one in this link is yours? http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...n&dlc=en&cc=ca&tool=&query=Media Center m000
Hey this is my friend and I told him to come here. Thanks for helping ddp. He bought this desktop off of another friend who had no need for it after he bought a new computer. If I remember right this was a custom built desktop that had Ubuntu (Linux I think) on it and was purchased at a pawn shop. So the best info we can get on this comp will prolly come from CPUZID. We swapped parts into it and RAM, then installed windows. I'm guessing since the slot the video card is plugged into is brown, its an AGP video card. I agree that pulling out the card and looking at it is probably our best way to identify it. Also there is a chance different CPUZID versions might identify the graphics card right? The latest CPUZ (1.5.5) identifies everything on my board except for my 2 RAM slots.
card needs to be pulled out of the computer as appears video card fan & heatsink is full of dust which is not good. it is an agp card which is better then pci & onboard. pull it out & see what is labeled on either front or backside of card. reason for asking for model# of the media pc is that the card might have came with the pc from hp so the drivers would be available from hp so need the model#.

So now he should dust it off and get the drivers from ATI for the Radeon 9550 256MB V/D/VO right? Drivers here: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx
radeon 9550 256mb ,just cruise over to AMD website & download latest catalyst control center software for that model http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx The download should conmtain the full software & driver package, unpack it & install once downoaded then restart
Everything is working really well now. Thanks for all the help even tested out to see if game works and it started right up. appreciate everything. http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn83/anbushinobimoto/lol.jpg Anbu9000 The only true way for a man to become immortal is to first forget he is mortal
