I updated my computer from xp to vista service pack 2 but i cant get the speakers to work, drivers say all installed, and it looks like the speakers are working but no sound comes up.
When i connect headphones they work fine.
I have tried the speakers on another computer and they work fine.
The computer is aspire t180 GB72 and the sound card is onboard.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance

Go to your sound settings and make sure the sound device is selected properly. You could also try doing a bios update.

this might be silly but you said your headphone work with the sound. Are you unplugging your headphones when you want to listen through your speakers? Plugging in your headphones disables the speaker output.
