I am told that I need a better video graphics card to play the games I've got. How do I find out if I need PCI, PCI Express, or AGP card? What would the minimum I need to play COD2 or Resident Evil 5?

what is the make & model# of your computer or motherboard? check those game sites as they have the requirements if you don't have the games now as that info would be with the game documentation.

The easiest way is to get the part number of the motherboard. This will tell you what kind of slot you have (PCI-e or agp) The PCI video cards are for real old computers (pre-2000).

For PCI-e At a very minimum the radeon hd4350 (cost 40.00) can play those games at low settings. But for best quality the radeon HD4670 (cost 80.00) will be the better card. Both are low-wattage cards, and can probably run on your computer without upgrading the power supply.

Go to youtube and type in the video card and you get to see the cards in action.

i think he has the following since he stated on another topic this is what he had

    I have a hp m8200n.
    AMD Athalon 64 x2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ 3GHz
    Memory (RAM) 3.0 GB
    32 Bit operating system
    NVIDIA GeForce6150se nForce430

i'm going say that for a budget graphics card that dosen't require additional power can't find anything wrong with the hd4670,, this is the card in my pc,, and while i don't use my pc as a gamer ( have xbox for that) i still play the odd games fine,, such as pro evo 2009, cod4, f1, world of warcraft, sbk 08, plus couple of flight sim's.
