10km inside? You must have a big house!

10km is really hard, even outside. WiFi was never intended for such distances (that is why wimax was created). In order to transmit and receive from so far away, you need to aim it almost like a laser, and you need parabolic dishes at both ends. One issue here is the curvature of the earth...if the earth gets in the way, you will not be able to get signal, even if there are no trees, houses, etc in the way...for this, you would need both dishes mounted at a height of at least 18 feet. Again, this is assuming that nothing is in the way...houses, trees, cars, and just about everything else will interfere with the signal...and the signal is very weak (by law). This is also assuming that the earth is a perfect sphere...hills and such will cause issues too.
