We have a new Thompson TG782T wireless modem & since it has been installed one of the computers on the network has been stalling randomly when it is connected to the modem. The computer will run for days with no problems while the network is disabled on that computer. We have no other problems with the other 3 computers. I've done a check on all the other components to rule them out (printers, keyboard, mouse etc) & have even had it at the repairers who were unable to find anything wrong. I've deleted the wireless & network cards & re-installed them on the wonky comp with no success. The computer place suggested that I move the wireless card to another slot on the board & I am just going to try that but any suggestions would be very appreciated. Both are running Windows xp & there were no problems prior to the new modem. HELP!! We don't have a boat so can't even use this comp as an anchor!

Sorry if this is obvious, but I didn't see it in your post. Have you tried a different wireless card (i.e. one from one of the other PCs) in that system? It could be a problem with the wireless card itself, rather than the PC or router.

Thanks, I'll try that. Switched the card to another slot but that made no difference. It only started after the new wireless modem though but that may be a coincidence.
