I have a dell XPS w/wireless mouse and keyboard. All batteries have been checked and are good. When I boot the computer, the mouse is frozen.

Did that - nothing. My transmitter works with my keyboard, not with the mouse. I've reset several times all to no effect. This was a Dell wireless package I received with the computer 5 years earlier. Can the mouse transmitter/receiver go bad? Can I just buy another wireless mouse ( any type)? Thanks

mouse has to have a transmitter even if shared with keyboard.

Both the mouse and keyboard operate from the same transmitter.

reset\reconnect on all 3. is the laser light on the mouse?

Yes, the laser light is on the mouse - I've reset/reconnect on all three as per the instructions in the brochure I received. Still doesn't work. Thanks

switch the batteries in the mouse with that of the keyboard if both the same size.

I installed fresh Duracell batteries in both. Still doesn't work. Thanks, again

if mouse shows in the device manager then uninstall it, restart windows so windows can find new hardware & load it's driver.

Here's my problem, how do I get to anything without the mouse.I don't know how to get to or open the device manager to check. Then, what means do I use to select and accomplish an uninstall/install? Thanks
