My PS2 is model number SCPH-75001 or v14 and I covered sensor 1 & 2 but sensor 3 has a metal tab in their and its really tight. I can't get anything in their, and if I do then it won't be thick enough to bend and activate the laser I also cannot order magic keys online as I don't use my visa card so what are some alternatives I have? I have seen some people opening their consoles and modifying them, what are they doing and will it work for me? Please help
PS: I don't mind opening my PS2 as my warranty has already ended a long time ago.
PPS: I have the same problem as mindtweak in the forum thread in the link below although I don't understand how to do his method?

Thanks but I found the solution myself long ago. The 7XXXX series have little metal sensors so you have to cover the block from the inside. Although I do have one other issue, after playing a game for a while (with the the lid open) my game would freeze up and the disc would spin and stop spinning? So why is this happening and how can I keep a consistent spin? Thanks ahead of time

Ok if your having problems keeping it spinning with lid open

You have to check the other 2 sensors are in place properly - the disc brake and by the reset button.

Well I got those sensors covered as well and the games work but after about 30min to 1 hr of play the music turns off and the game freezes. I don't run into this issue with the lid closed so I don't necessarily understand what's going on right now?

You don't need to leave the lid open when your sensors are blocked.

Once you swap games, just close it.

It really depends on how good you have the tab down. After realizing it was the sensor on the disc brake, I just turned it to the far right and tightened the screw.
It works 100% now.

yes your right ehamm13

That was what I was trying to get at, when I asked him if his other 2 sensors were in place.

I have a V14, and I used Magic keys originally, then used Swap Tool Pro v4 and now actually just have a flip top installed.

But if you don't have everything in proper place it will not work.

I learned this on the latest V18, as I recently got one. Had to make sure Tool A and my disc brake were securely placed. For the disc brake on that I just use a toothpick and leave the lid open.

Thanks guys, I'll check out the other sensors and try reajusting them although I'm not too concerned because I can just close the lid after the swap like smokyrain said. Not an urgent issue though. Thanks for helping everyone.
