HELP! PS2 not starting up

#1 15 Sep 2012 @ 0:29
My PS2 has got a mod chip and was working perfectly with copied games.
I tried copying a game myself with dvd decrypter and put that in my ps2 but it did not read it an sai insert ps2 compatible format disk. It then switched off and refuse to start up again. when i press the start button, the green light comes on and then goes of immediately.
Please help, i have no idea how to fix this myself.

Most likely, your modchip is affected.
De-solder your modchip and see if it boots up?

All work but no play makes one a dull person.
